The Brain and Experience Lab has just opened, and welcomed our first member, Dylan Sarubin! Dylan recently graduated from the University of Maryland and has joined the lab as a Research Associate. Welcome, Dylan!!
Dr. Brockett and Dr. Nik Francis recently showed that a single dose of psilocybin, a precursor to the psychoactive ingredient found in psilocybe mushrooms, enhances brain wide connectivity while preserving pure-tone selectivity. The work was published in the Journal of Neurophysiology.
Dr. Brockett and colleagues recently published a new paper in eNeuro using optogenetics to disrupt stop-change task performance. We show that silencing the orbitofrontal cortex (OFC) reduces accuracy on difficult trials that require higher levels of inhibitory control.
